Float / Construction
Weekend #1 of Float Building
Ben and Jason are starting
to make the head of OZcutus. At first we were going to use
paper mache, but it proved too slow to dry and would require too
many layers. We then picked up some plaster of Paris and some
gauze. That went much faster... The pictures that
follow are for the top part of OZcutus's skull.
Weekend #2 of Float Building
We got a bit further on the head of OZcutus, and
we finally started construction of the main float. Lots of
construction this weekend. We also made about 480 red poppies
(flowers) this weekend for the float.
Weekend #3 of Float Building
More progress, not enough. It will be a time
crunch to get this float finished... It's all starting to come
together though.
Final Week of Float Building
Lots more progress, just a
little bit more to go. We need to finish the head, which is
really the centerpiece of our float's theme, team name and shirts
this year though...

is in costume and we're ready to have some fun finally!
