Operation Kick
ASSimilation
Operation Kick ASSimilation was
executed perfectly this year!!! We had been considering this
for a while and decided that this was the year to enact our plan.
Mission: Be first in line for
the Trivia Movie AND Trivia Registration.
It all started with a nice rain
soaked stakeout in front of Rogers Cinemas. I think we arrived
around 9:45am, and held the position through rain and wind storms
until the doors to the Trivia movie opened at midnight. From
there, most of us went inside but we also had a secret operative
(Ben Scheer) who ditched out of the movie line at midnight in order
to secure our position as team #1 in the Trivia Registration line.
After the movie Ben was joined by Jason Bilbrey, who held our
position in line through even worse rain and much, much stronger
wind storms. We had plenty of supplies and shelter, lots of
fun games and plenty of visitors. All in all we basically had
someone in line for around 70 hours or so straight.
MISSION SUCCESSFUL!
Parade
The float was back again this
year. We decided that we're never gonna win the darn float
building competition so we whipped together a fine, fun float and
just enjoyed the parade this year.
Red Bull
Red Bull came and
visited us this year again. That's four years in a row now,
and its now a well entrenched tradition. Mmmm! Red Bull
is yummy!
